      The Lane Cove Aquatic Leisure Centre is a fabulous spot for a swim on Sydney’s lower North Shore, and has everything a family wants for a fun day out.

      Whether you’re wanting to lap-swim for fitness, cool down on a hot day or bring the kids in for some fun, there is a pool suitable for your needs. There is a 25m heated indoor pool, 50m outdoor pool, heated indoor leisure pool ideal for family fun and recreation, warm water program pool, cafe and free timed parking.

      The outdoor 50m pool at Hornsby Aquatic & Leisure Centre

      The Hornsby Aquatic and Leisure Centre (Hornsby Pool) is a state-of-the-art facility with a heated eight-lane, 50-metre outdoor pool for lap swimming and water polo and a heated, ten-metre by 25-metre indoor pool for learn-to-swim activities. There’s also a heated leisure pool that kids can walk into, with plenty of fun water features, including an enclosed water slide.

      4. Willoughby Leisure Centre

      The pool at Willoughby Leisure Centre closed in November 2022 for a major redevelopment. Click here to find out about the brand new centre! The estimated re-opening date is yet to be advised.

      5. North Sydney Olympic Pool

      North Sydney Olympic Pool closed in February 2021 for a redevelopment. It is due to reopen in May 2024.

      The aquatic centre features lots of facilities such as a 50 metre heated outdoor pool, 25-metre heated outdoor pool, shade covered baby and heated toddler pool, 25-metre indoor heated pool with ramp entry, a children’s Water Play and Leisure Pool, spa, steam and sauna room, a Wellness Centre with state of the art fitness equipment, crèche, cafe and locker hire.

          Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre is indoor and heated to a comfortable 26 degrees all year round. The Aquatic Centre’s water wonderland includes five spas, sauna and steam room, river rapid ride, spray jets, spurting volcanos, water slide and bubble beach, surrounded by lush palm trees and colourful mosaics plus a huge indoor water playground.

          Looking for the perfect spot to spend your summer months splashing about? The new Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre refurbishment was completed in September 2022, and it’s well worth checking out! Facilities at the new Waves:

          • 25m indoor warm-water pool
          • Lagoon-style indoor pool area

          The highlight of this new centre for families is the children’s splashpad! This outdoor area has everything with multiple water slides for kids of all ages, plenty of fountains, water tunnels, and, most importantly, plenty of shade.
