Emerge Festival, Chatswood

The Emerge Festival StreetFair is a passing parade of 1000 people

Hosted by Willoughby City Council, Emerge Festival is the North Shore’s largest cultural and entertainment celebration. Running from 1 September to 13 October, the festival features visual arts exhibitions, live entertainment, interactive workshops, kids and youth events, cultural celebrations and more. Highlights of the festival include:

  • Willoughby Visual Arts Biennial: 4 September – 13 October. Exploring the theme of ‘resilience and the community’ through exhibitions, public art walk, temporary public art installations, large scale video art and performance art. Free. Chatswood and Willoughby.
  • Matsuri: Japan Festival, 14 September, 11am – 6pm. Chatswood Mall. Enjoy the many delights of Japanese cuisine and culture. Free.
  • Pet Festival: Saturday 21 September, 9am – 3pm
  • Festival Oasis: 28 September – 13 October

Be taken back in time at the St Ives Medieval Faire. Enjoy medieval jousting, a life size medieval catapult hurling watermelons, a fully immersive historical village, savour traditional fare at the Tilt & Counter Tavern, stroll through the market stalls of authentic artisans, and witness knights vying for glory in grand tournaments. Whatever your fancy, you’ll find sights, sounds and experiences to delight, enchant and amaze.

The North Sydney Children’s Creative Festival brings together the North Sydney community for a day of creativity in Civic Park. The theme for this years festival celebrates the animals we share our planet with to inspire & educate young minds about the importance of caring for the natural world.

Wahroonga Food & Wine Festival

The Wahroonga Food & Wine Festival is returning to Wahroonga Park this October. Taste over 130 wines from 30 wineries, enjoy an array of local produce and fresh gourmet goods, wonder the Produce market stalls, listen to live entertainment, plus, there’s lots of fun for kids to do – inflatable rides and a petting zoo.
