Having a new baby is hard enough for any new mum… but having a baby during a Covid-19 lockdown presents so many more challenges.

Although we’re all staying at home and don’t have the same support systems in place, we don’t want our pregnant and new mums to feel alone or isolated. To help, we ran a couple of FREE Zoom sessions with Sarah Tooke, who is a registered Nurse, Midwife & Childbirth Educator, to help support you through pregnancy, childbirth and the first few months with your new baby.

During these sessions, Sarah openly shared her many years of experience to give down-to-earth and easy-to-follow advice.

Watch now: Bringing Baby Home

You’re pregnant, congratulations! This is a very exciting time, and you’re probably closely following your baby’s weekly development inside your tummy. But will you know what to do with your newborn baby after he or she arrives in the world?ย

Sarah Tooke ran a session for pregnant mums on Monday 13 September, which provides some basic knowledge about what to do when their baby is born. Sarah covered:

  • Tips for bringing baby home
  • Postnatal planning
  • What hospitals look like now with the Covid lockdown

Watch now: Tips for the Fourth Trimester during Lockdown

This session is ideal for the mum who has just had a baby or due to have one in the next few months.

  • How to look after yourself, whilst also caring for a new baby
  • Tips for navigating the fourth trimester (during lockdown!)
  • Normal newborn behaviour
