First Day of School Signs! Preschool, Daycare, Childcare & School 2024

It’s the start of another year… which means that our kids will soon be having their first day at childcare, daycare, preschool or school! Whether they’re starting for the very first time or returning for another big year, the first day is one to remember with a photo! To help make those photos extra special, we’ve created a set of FREE First Day of School signs. They come in three colours, and go from childcare, daycare & preschool, right through the school years to Year 12!

Starting childcare, preschool, kindergarten… and pretty much any other year at school is a huge deal. It signifies the beginning of a whole new chapter in your child’s life.

For the eighth year running, we’ve created a set of FREE ‘First Day of School’ signs (which go from Childcare to Year 12), that you can print and frame or mount, ready for that special first day of school for 2024. Alternatively, you can simply use a tablet to showcase your First Day poster.

Online Safety: Tips to protect your child

If sharing your photos on Facebook or Instagram, please protect your child’s privacy by following these child safety tips.

Ensure the background doesn’t give away your address or location. Don’t post your location or ‘check in’.
Keep the logo on your child’s uniform covered (you can get your child to hold the First Day of School poster to covers the logo on their uniform)
Check your privacy settings. Ensure your social media accounts are secure and set to private or ‘friends only’
Checking the privacy settings on the device you are using
If another person is taking photos of your child, having a discussion around how the photos will be used and how they will be shared
Keeping your child’s personal information including full name and age private.

Terms & Conditions

Entry is open to residents of Sydney (metro area), Australia. Employees of North Shore Mums and their families are ineligible to enter.
To enter, participants must submit a photo of their child holding the North Shore Mums First Day of School sign, and submit it to North Shore Mums via the online form before midnight Monday 12 February 2024.
The promotion is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. Entries will be judged individually.
The winners will be announced on 14 February 2024 on the North Shore Mums Facebook group and on the North Shore Mums website, and notified via email and/or phone.
By entering this competition, participants are giving North Shore Mums permission to publish your photo on the North Shore Mums website and associated Facebook page and group for promotional purposes. The child’s name or school will not be published.
10 winners will be selected, and each winner will receive one Family Pass to a Merlin Entertainment attraction.
- 3 Family Passes to SEA LIFE Sydney worth $178 each (2 adults, 2 kids aged 3-15 years)
- 3 Family Passes to Sydney Tower Eye worth $144 each (2 adults, 2 kids aged 3-15 years)
