On Saturday 25 October, North Shore Mums and North Shore Indian Mums collaborated to produce an amazing Bollywood Extravaganza at the beautiful Urban Tadka restaurant in Terrey Hills. The event sold out weeks beforehand (we even had to expand the venue space with a marquee to allow for a second release of tickets) and was attended by 150 guests.
As well as a great excuse to get dressed up, meet some new people, dine on some amazing Indian cuisine and dance Bollywood-style, it was also a fundraising event for Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia. We were delighted that the Lucy Perry, CEO of Hamlin Fistula Ehtiopia attended, and was able to give insight into the amazing work this charity does to improve the birthing conditions for women in Ethiopia. 28 local businesses generously donated amazing prizes for the Silent Auction, and we raised over $6000 for this incredible charity.
