The sun shone brightly over St Ives Village Green on Sunday 4 May, for the 10th Annual Festival on the Green, presented by Ku-ring-gai Council. A record 35,000 people came to enjoy a fantastic day of fun, food and entertainment.

For the little kids, Peppa Pig was the star attraction for the day… putting on a fun and interactive live show. Ashton’s Family Circus also dazzled the crowds with its circus and aerial performances. The circus skills workshop was a hit with children, as were the baby animal farm, jumping castle and face painting. The two mini trains were packed all day, as were the amusement rides. Over 750 local community performers from choirs, bands and dance groups also entertained festival-goers with their fantastic performances throughout the day.

The North Shore Mums stall was abuzz with activity, excitement and chatter throughout the day… we were thrilled to meet so many lovely Mums that we have spoken to in Facebook group! We gave out 500 goodie bags that were packed full of offers and product from local businesses, and raised over $600 for Neuroblastoma Australia through the sale of NSM Ribbons. Kids loved the free Little Builders activity table, whilst the mums could relax and chat with one another.

Please enjoy some beautiful photos of the day, courtesy of Derek Stalley Photography.

THANK YOU

Huge thanks to Tracey Johnson from Soul to Sole Podiatry for doing an amazing job in coordinating the goodie bags and managing the stall on the day, and to Claudine Tucker from Little Builders for putting on such a brilliant free Lego play area for the kiddies.

And a big thanks to all the North Shore Mums who volunteered their time on the day – Peta Davidson (Northern Ballet Studios), Gennevieve Charlesworth (Essential Touch Massage Therapy), Gill Carragher (Be Indulged), Maryka Stalley (Derek Stalley Photography), Vanessa Forte (Travel Counsellors), Kristy Ressel (Kristy Ressel Photography), Caroline Hicks (Sydney Au Pairs’), Julie Attwood (Chartered Accountant), Henny Stier (OH Property Group) and Kylie Clift (Jim Jam Music).

Thanks also to Sharon Mitchell (Mayday Mummy), Alexandra Boyd (Boyd Office Management), Vanessa Forte (Travel Counsellors), Julie Attwood (Chartered Accountant), Claudine Tucker (Little Builders) and Tracey Johnson for their help in packing the goodie bags.

And of course, thank you to all the local businesses who provided an offer or product for the bags or who donated a prize.

It’s amazing what the NSM community can achieve when we all pull together!
