Why should Happy Meals just be for kids? For a limited time, parents can buy the “adult” box offers which comes with fries, a drink and a choice of either a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac.
Of course, no Happy Meal would be complete without a toy! The McNugget Buddies are here, whisking you right back to the 90s, where they were first introduced.
The fast-food giant collaborated with American street-style icon and visionary artist Kerwin Frost, who designed the adult-sized box and gave the McNugget Buddies a modern makeover. Frost styled each of the six characters with its own quirky persona, funky outfit and wacky hobby.
The 2024 line-up includes:
- Kerwin Frost: The Mayor
- Don Bernice: The Wise Stylist
- Uptown Moe: The Neighbourhood Hero
- Waffutu: The Curious Optimist
- Brrrick: The Cool Guy
- Darla: The Dreamer
This isn’t the first time McDonalds has brought out an ‘Adult’ Happy Meal. There was a US-exclusive collaboration with the fashion label Cactus Plant Flea Market in October 2022. But that means it is the first time it has hit Aussie shores.
The boxes are available nationwide for a limited time, and each box not only comes with a toy, but for the first time, comes with its very own collector’s trading card.
