After five years in Frenchs Forest, Wizzy World will close at the end of November. This comes just one week after trampoline park JUmp’d in Brookvale announced it had permanently closed too. And now, Cheeky Monkeys in Warriewood has announced that they will be closing on 24 January 2025 too!

Wizzy World in Frenchs Forest closing in November 2024

In a statement on their Facebook page, Wizzy World posted:

“It is with sadness that we will be closing down at the end of our lease. After 12 years in business, we have decided not to renew our lease. We will be taking time to focus on family and having our weekends back. We hope that everyone will support us and book parties in now before we close or come and visit us for a play.” – Wizzy World

Wizzy World has been open in Frenchs Forest since October 2019, after its previous location in Chatswood. It’s been the go-to indoor Playcentre for mums on the Northern Beaches & North Shore and will be missed by many families.

They will remain open until the end of November, so be sure to visit with the kids for a play or book a birthday party before it closes its doors forever! Wizzy World features a huge three-storey play structure for adventurous kids, a dedicated crawler zone and a cafe on site (with plenty of seating).

Another fabulous indoor playcentre, Cheeky Monkeys, which has entertained kids across Sydney’s Northern Beaches for seventeen years, announced it will be closing its doors forever on 24 January 2025.

  • Before and after-school care will continue until the end of this school year (18 December 2024)
  • Vacation care will run until our last day of business (Friday 24 January 2025).
  • The café/play centre for public play and parties will be closed from 24 December 2024. Our only service available in January is Vacation Care.

Owner Cathy Beddy says:

It’s been a very difficult decision to make. We hung on hoping things would improve. Like, for a lot of other businesses, the sustained high interest rates and the aftermath of covid have affected our families finances and their ability to spend on extra activities. I’m looking forward to my next chapter of spending time and looking after my first grandson who was only born a week ago, ticking off travelling locations on my bucket list and seeing what takes my interest next!

JUMPd in Brookvale closed 14 October 2024

This follows the closure of JUMPd trampoline park in Brookvale, announced on their Facebook page on 14 October 2024:

‘JUMPd is now permanently closed. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our amazing staff and loyal customers who have supported us over the past 6 years. It’s been a privilege to see so many smiling faces, and we’re grateful for every jump, flip, and laugh.’ – JUMPd

Other Indoor Spots for fun

But don’t despair. There are still many other indoor play centres, trampoline parks, and attractions to visit. Here are our top picks for fun indoor activities!
