Wadanggari Park

There’s nothing better than discovering a new adventure playground on the North Shore where the kids can run, explore and play. The new Wadanggari Park is now open in St Leonards and has all this and more, located close to the shops, with plenty of space for the kids to have fun! Plan your visit today…

Wadanggari Park in St Leonards is the newest addition to the city’s green spaces, and it’s already making waves. And for good reason too, it’s Australia’s first park and adventure playground to be built on a bridge over a rail line. With its big lawn, plaza, and adventure-style playground, this park is a breath of fresh air in an urban setting. Here’s what you’ll find.

Getting to Wadanggari Park

Reaching Wadanggari Park is a breeze. The park is located just off Pacific Highway, adjacent to Christie Street. You can park your car in the 300-space public car park, accessible via Christie Lane and Lithgow Street, with up to two hours of free parking.

The park is also just opposite St Leonards train station, and you can use the newly refurbished underpass to reach it.

Nature Play

Big grassed area out the front of the park

The park offers up plenty of open space, featuring a huge lawn that is perfect for both relaxation and play. Bring along a ball to kick, frisbee to throw, or settle back with a good book and soak up some sun while the kids play.

Checking out the play equipment

The playground offers a variety of play equipment that caters to kids of all ages. From climbing structures to swings, there’s something for everyone.

Kids will love racing down this slide

There’s two big tunnel slides at either end, waiting to be raced down. In the middle, kids can go on the round-a-bout or spinner, while parents and carers relax back on the picnic tables.
