With a brilliant pirate-themed play area, tennis courts, bike paths, BBQs, shaded picnic tables and a large oval it is the perfect place for a group gathering. There is something to do for everyone and plenty of space to spread out.
The park is located in the quiet neighbourhood suburb of Westleigh, about a 5-minute drive from Pennant Hills Road. Although it’s a big park, there is plenty of free street parking outside which makes it super easy to get there by car.
Ruddock Park: Playground
The main feature of the playground is a pirate ship play area that has slides, climbing nets, bridges to cross, a bouncy plank to walk, rigging to climb ships wheels to turn, telescopes to peer through, little nooks and crannies to hide in and slides to make your escape!
There’s a fabulous circular swing nest, with 5 swings facing into the circle – but despite the kids’ best efforts, they can’t touch the other kids with their feet (very close!).

If your child loves to ride their bike, scooter or roller skates, be sure to pack their favourite wheeled toy when you visit Ruddock Park.
There is an extensive learn-to-ride track that leads around the park, complete with road signs, roundabouts. Kids can enjoy imaginative play as they pass a toy petrol station (with a working bike pump!), little shop and cafe along the path. There are even a couple of small humps for the more adventurous kids to ride over.
