There’s nothing more exciting than a fresh upgrade to a much-loved playground complete with new equipment for kids to climb and explore. Exciting news! Kendall Village Green playground opens this week and there’s plenty of fun waiting. Here’s what you’ll find.
The design for the new playground was prepared last year after feedback from local residents. Kendall Village Green has been upgraded using the Council’s capital works budget and funding of $197,200 obtained through the NSW Government’s Everyone Can Play program.
New features
In addition to the new playground, the Green now has shared pathways, new seating and landscaping, including mature trees for shade.
Other features added are a new drinking fountain, terraces, litter bins and a bike rack.

Access to the Green has been improved via Kendall Street and Inverallan Avenue.
Mayor Jeff Pettett said next year the Council would use additional grant funding awarded by the state government to upgrade the amenities block with an accessible toilet.
“We’ve been able to use some of the current grant funding to create an accessible car space. We’re really happy with the result and that the playground has been finished in time for summer.”
