Bored of the same old swings and slides? Allow us to introduce you to the Golden Grove Playground at Bicentennial Park in West Pymble. It’s got everything you need! Nearby coffee, easy parking, lots of equipment for children of all ages, toilets (yes, an essential), fully fenced plus LOTS of lovely nature areas to explore.
Bicentennial Park is a hidden gem in West Pymble! It’s home to the fabulous Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre and West Pymble Bicentennial Club (read our review), plus the newly renovated Golden Grove playground!
Golden Grove playground is located inside Bicentennial Park at the end of Prince of Wales Drive. It’s a fully enclosed playground and it is enormous! Plus as a bonus the playground is suitable for all ages (from toddlers to tweens) so all the kids can be kept occupied at once!
For the under 5s, there’s a sandpit with water taps (make sure you bring a spare pair of clothes for the kids!), sand diggers, musical chimes and swings. For the older ones there’s a climbing pyramid, swings, slides and more!
The fenced in playground also includes areas for the kids to explore and get close to nature! Plus there is plenty of room to run around and ride your scooter.
With plenty of seating and a covered shelter, the play playground is perfect for mothers group get togethers, parties and family occasions!
In addition to Golden Grove playground there is so much more you can do at Bicentennial Park. The kids can explore the park on foot or there are paths for bikes and scooters!
There is also plenty of space to kick a ball or play a game of cricket adjacent to the playground or at either Lofberg Oval or Norman Griffiths Oval!
Want to bring the dog? You can do that too as there is a fenced off-leash area as well!
It’s also the perfect spot for a family picnic with bbq facilities, shaded seating areas and bathroom facilities all located just outside the fenced Golden Grove playground!
