DESCRIPTION
Soothe Psychology is a private psychology practice based in Sydney’s Upper North Shore. Soothe Psychology is owned and operated by clinical psychologists and a husband-wife team, Satveer and Priyanka. At Soothe Psychology, we offer psychological treatment and assessment services. Our Soothe philosophy is to encourage and support our clients to discover thinking and behavioural patterns that may be affecting their quality of life. Our goal is to help individuals not only overcome mental blocks that keep them stuck but also live lives that are more in line with their values.
Priyanka Aggarwala (Clinical Psychologist)
Priyanka believes that there is no one size fits all for therapy, rather, that the most important factor in therapy is the development of the therapeutic relationship between client and psychologist. Priyanka works with individuals across the lifespan, with a special interest in the treatment of anxiety and depression, self-esteem and identity issues, and the assessment of attention and specific learning difficulties. Priyanka’s main therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), both of which focus on the importance of thoughts and emotions and implementing behavioural work to help reach acceptance or foster change.
Satty Singh (Clinical Psychologist)
Satty works with individuals across the lifespan, with a special interest in the treatment of trauma, anxiety and mood disorders. Alongside psychological treatment, Satty has experience in the assessment and diagnosis of attention and specific learning issues. Satty’s main therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Satty truly believes that to achieve therapeutic growth, one must be open to exploring, collaboratively, the power that memories hold, and be willing to reappraise them with self-compassion.
