I was solo parenting my 3 year old child whilst my wife was travelling for work, when my child got sick and needed to stay at home away from daycare. At short notice Mayday Mummy came to the rescue so I didn’t have to take time of work during a critical period.
My child instantly warmed to Sue and Olwen who were wonderful. They made the 2 days really fun and engaging for her with lots of books and activities. I felt my child was in safe hands throughout and all the helpers were a pleasure to deal with. Would highly recommend and will use again! Thank you
Sharon is wonderful, can’t recommend highly enough! Sharon cared for our 10 month old while we were at a wedding. It was the first time our son had been left with someone other than family and Sharon was amazing with him and went above and beyond to ensure we had nothing to worry or stress about on the day as she did a pre meet/visit. Not to mention we came home to a delicious casserole and treats as well as folded clothes! Can’t thank Sharon enough, will definitely use Mayday Mummies in the future.
We have called the Mayday Mummies on a number of occasions to help out when our kids have been sick. Brenda, Sue, Rosie and Helen have been a great help. On each occasion, they have turned up at short notice with a smile and a bag of fun toys to play with. The kids have loved playing with them and yet zucchini slice, brownies, bolognese, apple crumble and all sorts of other delicious goodies have appeared. Also, the washing has been put away and they’re asking if there’s anything else that they can help with. They’re an absolute lifesaver and Sharon’s a pleasure to deal with. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
I was desperate, tired and overwhelmed with daycare sickness when I stubbled upon Mayday Mummy. I have no help and needed someone to give me a break with my twin toddlers for a day. Hilary showed up and my two year olds took to her straight way. She gave me a much needed break and even cooked us dinner. We have subsequently booked Hilary for further days. So far she has been amazing. My twins love her. This is such a great service, I couldn’t recommend it more.

We first used Mayday Mummy when our little man was 3 months old for a wedding. Olwen was soo lovely and sweet we ended up having her help out 2-3 days per week for 2 months after the wedding. Was a great help while we were finding our feet, especially as me and mum husband both run our own businesses. It was super flexible and fit in around our schedule which changed each week. Our little man loved having her around and when she had spare time she helped sort his clothes and cooked dinner (she is an amazing cook). Thanks to the Mayday Mummy team for all your help.
Sharon has been fantastic helping from time to time from when our son was born through to 9 months! Our baby enjoys her company and I feel happy in the knowledge that I can leave him with someone I trust and come home to a happy fed and clean baby and a plate of delicious brownies!
We have been using Mayday Mummy for about 3 years. Over this time period we have had all of the Mayday Mummy ladies come to look after our three children (aged 5 years, 3 years and 1 year old). Both my husband and I have felt so at ease leaving our children (often at short notice) with all of these delightful ladies. They are such warm and caring people that truly understand the juggle of work, multiple children, sick children, sleep deprivation and managing a household. They are extremely professional and organised. I have often found the house to be tidier than when I left, piles of washing folded or something delicious such as chocolate brownies or a soup made! Most importantly, our children have really enjoyed spending time with them and often ask when they are coming again. We are so lucky to have found the Mayday Mummy service. I truly do not know what we would have done without them on numerous occasions. Mary Poppins would be a fitting description! Thank you Mayday Mummy.
I have used Mayday Mummy several times in the last few weeks as emergency care for my twin babies while my own mum is critically ill in hospital.
I have had 3 nannies come and cannot fault the care they have provided for my babies. They are warm, attentive, thoughtful and kind. They followed my instructions and stuck to our schedule. They went above and beyond to care for me as well in a very stressful time.
Communication was excellent and I would highly recommended Mayday Mummy to anyone needing emergency care for their children.
I have called upon Sharon to care for my three girls several times now and she is absolutely amazing. My girls adore her, she is always very well prepared with lots of great ideas and activities to entertain them, and I am always able to leave feeling 100% assured my girls will be very well cared for.
I cannot begin to tell you how great Sharon is! She looked after my little daughter when struck with conjunctivitis and an important not-to-be missed work meeting was on. She was at our house in no time at all and everything was just done. My daughter looooved her and Sharon was just so wonderful! There was instant trust and she is very professional! Sharon has cared for my two children, 3 and 1, on numerous occasions. She goes above and beyond with the level of care, fun activities and special little touches to make mums life easier on return. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
Sharon looked after my 6 month old twins yesterday. She was absolutely amazing. I was happy knowing by bubs were in good hands, and I came home to a scene of domestic bliss… happy contented babies, freshly baked double chic chop cookies, and a hot lunch, and a general tidy up/bathroom clean!! I should have come home later 🙂 🙂
