DESCRIPTION
My name is Dr Charlotte Keating. I am a Clinical Psychologist with a PhD in neuroscience. I have recently moved to the Lower North Shore, from Melbourne. I have opened consulting rooms in Mosman for face to face sessions and I provide sessions online.
From the short time I have been part of this lovely community, I have felt so heartened to experience the care, kindness, and consideration people offer each other. It’s genuinely special. If you feel there may be something I can assist you with, or your young people, or if I might be able to support someone you know, please feel free to reach out or pass on my details.
I am passionate about everyone’s mental health, with a special interest in helping parents, and in particular our young people. I see young people from about 10 years and over.
I am a Board Member of Alannah and Madeline Foundation, established to ensure every child’s right to be safe, and I am an Advisory Board Member for the anti-bullying organisation, Dolly’s Dream.
From time to time, I also contribute to wellbeing topics on The Today Show, Sunrise, The Project and others, ‘spreading the word’ about mental health issues facing our community.
In the coming months I will also be holding some ‘parent chat groups’, at lunchtime and in the evenings. I will cover topics such as: managing the transition to school, the transition from primary to high School, parenting the emerging teen, how to help your child thrive during the HSC, parenting the emerging adult, managing the pressure on parents, managing anxiety (at any age).
These small-ish groups will cover these, and other mental health and wellbeing topics and provide an intimate forum for supportive group discussion. Please feel free to let me know by email if there are other topics you would be interested in too.
