DESCRIPTION
I am Dr Erick Fuentes and I am a Breast, Endocrine and General Surgeon, serving the North Shore and the Inner West.
I am a graduate of The University of Sydney and completed specialist FRACS training in General Surgery through the John Hunter Hospital in 2011. In 2012, I completed training in Breast Oncologic Surgery at the Westmead Breast Cancer Institute.
My areas of expertise include breast cancer surgery, thyroid surgery as well as general surgery including hernias, gallbladder, lesions and lipomas.
When it comes to breast cancer surgery, I use techniques learned from plastic surgery to, wherever possible, preserve the appearance of the breast, as well as the most recent therapeutic and diagnostic techniques for breast diseases. My success as a breast surgeon comes as a result of thorough planning and working with a multidisciplinary team comprising radiologists, pathologist, radiation oncologist, medical oncologists and plastic surgeons leveraging the collective expertise to bring about the effective treatment of the cancer. My team and I will do everything we can to support you and make your treatment as tolerable as possible.
