United Swimming

United Swimming is dedicated to providing swimming and training programs to people of all ages and skills.

Our learn-to-swim program has 5 ability-based levels for children over 3 years old. This program accommodates children who are new to swimming lessons to those who are ready to develop correct strokes in all 4 strokes.

Our squad program has 4 ability-based levels (Semi Squad, Bronze Squad, Silver Squad and Gold Squad). We emphasise on introducing race techniques, teaching basic rules and principles of FINA regulations, perfecting technique and mastering competitive starts and turns.

Swim Safer @ United Swimming:

It’s crucial for all of us to acknowledge the importance of water safety and that children can never be completely safe around water.

No child, no matter how well they can swim, is totally safe, because accidents may happen. That’s why swimming experts talk about making children safer around the water.

United Swimming works closely with SWIM Schools Australia and supports its SWIM SAFER campaign. As a critical part of our learn to swim program, we run a SWIM Schools Australia Swim Safer Week once a school term where we provide our students with the best opportunity to learn crucial aquatic survival skills.

These skills include the following:

1. Sculling
2. Treading water
3. Floating
4. Safe entry and exit from the water
5. Techniques for clothed swimming survival
6. Use of devices to assist rescue, and
7. Basic swimming skills.
