Fun baby & toddler music and movement classes in Mosman, Kirribilli, Crows Nest & Freshwater.
Joey Jig Music weekly classes offer an introduction to music and dance that babies and toddlers can easily understand and enjoy. Joey Jig classes include traditional nursery rhymes and fun original themed songs composed by owner/teacher Alicia to engage and entertain both Bubs and Mums or carers. Children are introduced to the ‘classroom experience’ learning to focus and listen, helping the developing brain with language and reasoning. Students explore sound through music and dancing, playing percussions instruments, sensory activities and discover tempo, pitch, dynamics and rhythm and also have fun whilst using their wonderful imaginations!
- SWING SWING: 3 months – 1 year: Classes explore music and gentle rhythms to engage your little ones. Our lessons are a wonderful bonding time for parent/carer and baby, Bubs enjoy gentle songs, playing with percussion, moving to the beat and fascinating sounds and sights for a rich sensory experience.
- BE-BOP: 1-2 year olds: Themed classes involve colourful props, dancing, story time and playing percussion with the ‘Joey Jig’ band. New walkers begin exploring their personal space through music and movement. Early speech development is encouraged as we experiment with sounds, whilst exploring motor and concentration skills.
- JUMP & JIVE: 2 – 4 years. Exciting themed Jump & Jive classes encourage social bonds, sharing, copying, taking turns and working as a group. Dynamics, tempo and pitch are further explored as we compose musical stories, dance and play along with the Joey Jig orchestra. Classes are fun but focused providing high quality pre school education.

Joey Jig has been the most incredible activity to immerse my baby girl in. We started at 4 months and she’s now 10 months and has such a beautiful interest in music and dance already, that continues into the home! Alicia’s approach with the children in so lovely to see each week – her creativity and energy keeps the classes engaging and interactive without being to over stimulating for the little ones. Joey Jig is our favourite part of each week 🙂
Joey Jig is worth every cent and every minute it takes to get two kids out the door and into class! My kids count down the days until Tuesday and then sing every song from that class for the remainder of the week. My only negative is that I didn’t find Alicia sooner!!!
I’ve taken both my kids to Joey Jig over the years and they’ve absolutely loved it. Alicia is a fantastic teacher — she keeps the little ones so engaged and always mixes things up week to week to keep it fresh and fun. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Both my boys loved Joey Jig. Alicia is very engaging. The songs change every week and she has a large variety of activities within the class to keep the kids interested. This includes musical instruments, dancing, parachutes and bubbles.
We enjoyed Joey Jig with our daughter for a number of years and found it to be fun, interactive and a great start to music. We both thoroughly liked the classes and I look forward to starting it with my son in the near future. Would definitely recommend it.
Joey Jig is fantastic. It’s a music-and-movement class for babies and small kids that gives them a chance to move to a rhythm, play various instruments, learn to follow instructions, and even work on their ‘saying “thank you”‘ skills. Alicia is very creative, she runs her classes extremely well, and she has created or obtained superb instruments and class materials. My son was in two classes in a row, two years ago, and he loved them. I enjoyed them because it was delightful– and moving– to see him have so fun and learn to move to music. Here we are in California now, and he is almost 5, and he still loves the CD and remembers some of the movements that went along with a couple of the songs. Thank you Alicia, for your wonderful invention. You should go global!
Joey Jig is fun, interactive and educational! Alicia is great and makes music an engaging experience. The pace of the class is perfect for babies. My son loves the songs so much we even play the Joey Jig CD while driving in the car. I would highly recommend Joey Jig Music.
My daughter absolutely loves joey jig! The songs are brilliant and she loves the musical instruments too. Alicia is a fabulous and engaging teacher!
I would definitely recommend Alicia and Joey jig to any mums who want to begin their babies love of music and rhythm. My son is so responsive to her approach and has developed his coordination massively in just the few classes I\’ve been to already!
Joey jig is fantastic for all ages. Alicia is very talented musician and knows how to engage the kids and babies. Such a great young learning experience and lots of fun with catchy tunes 🙂
