Don’t forget your local Scout group will also most likely be selling Christmas Trees. It is usually the major fund raiser for these groups that do an amazing job of supporting youth development.

i always leave buying a tree as laste as possible so that it is still fresh for all the later get togethers in january. I am so sick of buing trees which are badly handled and left out too long in the heat.
Today I bought a really stunning little tree from Merlino’s in Five Dock. It’s not very big, but they cut it this morning from their farm, and is the most amazing fresh, beautiful green tree I’ve ever seen. The fragrance is amazing, and it only cost $60.

      Seriously, go there !

I’d also highly recommend Elfhelp Christmas Trees, they are a locally owned Christmas tree company that began on the Lower North Shore back in 2003 in the front yard of the family’s Lane Cove home. They have now expanded and offer some of Australia’s best real Christmas trees with the option to have delivered to your home, with installation and decorations if needed. In the earlier months they provide trees to the local councils and businesses.

They have a warehouse you can visit and choose a tree and decorations with the kids. Great friendly service.

We usually buy our tree from Christmas world. Cost is normally around $150 for a tree around 7ft. This year for some reason they are charging $350 to $400 for the same tree. We drove the 5 minutes it took to go down the road to SYDNEY Christmas tree farm where we found a beautifully shaped 8 footer which my daughter chose and which cost $145. I am not normally a penny pincher, it was mainly on principle. Happy Christmas all.
