This Weekend: Festivals, Fairs & Markets!

It’s all about festive fun this weekend! If you love wine, then head to the Grape Grain & Graze Festival on Saturday, and back it up with the Balmoral Food + Wine Fair on Sunday. Or for some family fun, then the Berowra Woodchop Festival and St Ives Preschool Fete have lots for kids – bouncy castles, face painting, pony rides and animal farms. Have fun!

1. Grape, Grain & Graze Festival, Sydney Olympic Park

The Grape, Grain & Graze Festival is happening this Saturday 11 August from 2pm to 6pm at Sydney Olympic Park. If you fancy an afternoon of child-free wine tasting, then this is for you! At this exclusive event, you can taste amazing wines from the 2,200 entries of the Sydney Royal Wine Show, as well as selected products from the Sydney Royal Beer & Cider Show, matched with grazing stations of delicious Sydney Royal medal-winning food and a line-up of live music. 2. Balmoral Food + Wine Fair

Balmoral Beach will transform again into Sydney’s iconic pop-up wine destination for the 28th annual Food + Wine Fair (featuring Mudgee Region wine + produce) on Sunday 12 August. It’s the longest running regional wine and food fair in Sydney! Drawing thousands of food and wine lovers from across Sydney, the fair will span the entire foreshore of Balmoral Beach + provide Sydneysiders the opportunity to meet the growers from a number of the Mudgee Region’s finest food + wine producers. 3. Berowra Woodchop Festival

The Berowra Woodchop Festival is back again in 2018, bigger and better than ever. This year’s festival will be held on Sunday 12 August 2018 in the Berowra Village Tavern carpark and surrounding grounds from 10am to 5pm.

Now in its 24th year, Woodchop is an old style “fair” attracting over 4,000 people to enjoy market stalls, amusement rides, food, live music and a world class round of the NSW Axemen competition. All proceeds raised are returned to the community via Apex service programs including donations to many local charitable causes.

It promises to be a great day out, so come along and enjoy the festivities! More info.

5. St Ives Preschool Kindergarten Family Fun Fair

The St Ives Preschool Kindergarten Family Fun Fair is on Sunday 12 August from 10am to 12pm. This is a great family-friendly community event, and all funds raised on the day will go to supporting this wonderful not-for profit preschool. The
