Sydney Weekender presenter and stay-at-home Dad Matt Baseley joined The Parenting Couch for an honest chat about his role as a Stay At Home Dad, the funny experiences he’s had along the way and what makes his marriage work.
About Matt Baseley
Matt Baseley started in radio when he was just 18 years old, working at Nova 96.9 for 10 years as an announcer, events MC and MC for Merrick & Rosso live radio events. Matt co-hosted the top rating network drive show with Akmal Saleh & Cal Wilson, and then went on to host the inaugural drive show on Sydney’s KIIS 1065 which went to #1 in the ratings.
But when his contract wasn’t renewed just before his wife gave birth to their first child, they made the decision that he’d take a break from his career to be the primary caregiver. He lives on the Northern Beaches with his voice-over artist wife Michelle (or ‘Bella’) and three kids Billie, Ziggy and Stevie.
You’ll currently see Matt on Channel 7 in numerous presenting roles for Sydney Weekender, The Morning Show, The Daily Edition and the 7food Network.
