The NSM Facebook group is taking a festive break…

Over the festive period, the North Shore Mums Facebook group will be closed for a few days over Christmas and New Years Eve.

We’ve done this every year since the group started, and it’s always proved to be a welcomed break for the moderators, who are effectively ‘on call’ 24 hours a day to respond to any situations.

It means we can properly switch off from the social media space for a few days, without worrying that we’ll be called upon to sort out a situation.

We totally appreciate that North Shore Mums can be a huge source of support (and friendly banter), so hope our members will be okay without their daily fix of North Shore Mums. We thank you (in advance) for your understanding.

If you do need support over the Christmas and New Year period, there are lots of support hotlines and services that continue to provide free help and advice during the festive season. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it! Click here to see the list of services.

While the group is closed, you won’t be able to post any new questions – however you will be able to reply to threads already existing in the group. These posts will not be moderated, so please ensure posts follow our Group Guidelines.

We will close the group at midday on Christmas Eve, and reopen it 7am Thursday 28 December. It will be open for a few days, before closing again at midday New Years Eve and reopening 7am Tuesday 2 January.

In 2018, Business Hour is moving to Tuesday nights – so the first Business Hour will be Tuesday 2 January from 8-9pm. Click here for more information about Business Hour.

We’d love to take this opportunity to thank you for being a part of such a special community of amazing local mums, and providing support, advice, recommendations, education and friendship to other women in our Facebook group. From the bottom of our hearts, it makes us so happy when members tell us just how much North Shore Mums has improved their parenting journey, provided support in those first few months as a parent (and beyond!) and people who have made connections and friendships in the real world.

Wishing you and your families a relaxing and safe holiday!

Love Rachel, Michelle, Alison, Henny, Laura, Leesa, Karina, Rach, Lucy, Bianka & Maryka xx
