A few months ago, I was offered the opportunity to try ex-Bachelor Sam Wood’s new online health and fitness program – the 28 by Sam Wood. After having my third baby just over a year ago, I’d stabilised at a weight that was about 5-7kg more than what I was pre-kids, and I just couldn’t seem to shift those last few kilograms. I was time poor and unmotivated, and had simply accepted that this was who I was.
However, I decided to give the 28:28 a try and signed up for July. I loved the idea of a short 28-minute daily workout, and really wanted to allow myself the time to invest back into my health and happiness. The meals were really tasty and easy to prepare, the workouts were varied and pushed me just hard enough, and I found the support and motivation from the Facebook group and expert videos a key element that kept me going. At the end of the month, I couldn’t quite believe that I had lost a very stubborn three kilos, just in time for a family holiday to Fiji. Yay!
But the benefits weren’t just in my appearance. I was was calmer with my kids, more efficient in my business and had a spring back in my step. I felt happier and more confident that I had in ages! Even though it was sometimes difficult to find 28 minutes in the day, by investing that time in myself I discovered that I got way more back in return.
Sam was in Sydney last week, so I jumped at the opportunity to do a workout and interview with him for North Shore Mums. Having never interviewed a celebrity before (let alone on video!), I was pretty nervous about how it would all go – but he instantly put me at ease. In the flesh, he’s a really lovely, down-to-earth guy – who is passionate about making a real difference to the health of Australians.
The September program started yesterday, and with summer just around the corner I’m more motivated than ever to lose those final few kilos. So come join me! It’s just $55 per month (less than $2 per day) and is such a worthy investment in your health and happiness. Click here for more information on the 28 by Sam Wood website.
