Have you been looking for somewhere to stock up on baby gear, but found the North Shore sadly lacking in larger-style stores? A new store opening might be set to solve all your problems, as Olivia Cullen writes.
As a new mum, I’ve found there’s not much in the way of quality baby stores on the North Shore. The big warehouse style shops are all further out west, north or south – so to say I was excited when I heard Babyography was moving to a much larger space in Brookvale is a bit of an understatement. The new store is over 700 square meters in size (almost double the size of the previous store at Warringah Mall). It’s got the space of a big warehouse style baby shop, but feels completely different to any baby store I’ve been in before.
When entering Babyography, my first surprise was how it felt nothing like a warehouse. With segmented areas for furniture, manchester, prams, toys, feeding, clothing, car seats and more – each space feels unique and like a small separate boutique.
With a love for interiors, I couldn’t get to the nursery section fast enough and was amazed at the range of furniture, manchester and room décor. Beautifully styled nursery’s and bedroom spaces have been designed in conjunction with Interior Designer Jennifer Bright and are bursting with ideas, offering parents a wealth of inspiration.
One of the trickiest items to buy for us was a pram, but Babyography take much of the challenge out of this with not only a huge range of prams to try out, but by also providing track for testing out prams on different terrains.
A super cool night light cave was something I’ve never seen before – but here kids can choose their favourite night light and parents can check out night vision features on a large range of baby monitors.
On a separate level a clothing boutique is filled with every parents dreams for the perfect outfit – sweet onesies, designer dresses and the best range of sleeping bags I’ve seen.
For anyone in doubt, there’s even an info hub iPad station where customers can view the informative Babyography website for product specifications, features, related products and more.
All of these spaces have a distinctive and easy to navigate feel, however, it’s not just the segmented spaces, and high tech features that make Babyography so awesome. It’s the mixture of unique products not seen in any other baby store mixed with the well-known big brands and products, and it’s the friendly staff that more than happy to help answer any question.
Babyography really have created a special space. The store is truly beautiful and is perfect for the modern parent looking for essentials or the best friend looking for a perfect gift. I came away from the store so pleasantly surprised and know that I will definitely be visiting again (and again).
