With a background in public hospital work and juggling her own health coaching business, it’s no wonder Warrawee’s Kate McGill has nominated her friend Anna Chilsom from Turramurra in the North Shore Mums Mother’s Day Competition to find the North Shore’s most inspiring mum of 2016!

When I had the privilege of meeting Anna Chilsom through our children’s day care centre, I immediately knew I needed this wonder woman in my life. Then, as I came to know her, I realised why.
Anna has dedicated much of her adult life to social work in our public hospital system, mainly accident, emergency and maternity wards, where she was dealing with some incredibly sad and traumatic situations with the intention of making the lives of those she touched a little bit better.
As I and many North Shore Mums will know, working in the public health system can start to drain the life out of you, and after the birth of her first bubba Alex, Anna decided she needed to give more to her community than her workplace allowed.
With her love of assisting those around her thorough social work and a background in personal training and a passion for health and wellness, Anna decided to use her multi-faceted skill set, again, to serve and improve the lives of those around her. While on maternity leave with her second bubba, Anna trained as a Health Coach. Talk about motivated! Then, not really understanding what a health coach was, I hired Anna. Today, I am still stunned and amazed at my transformation.

I am nominating Anna for Most Inspiring North Shore Mum because she changed my life and I know she is transforming the lives of other mums around us.Anna’s commitment to improving the health and therefore lives of mums and their families is incredibly inspiring to me. I wouldn’t be able to describe it all, but it was so compelling, I am now also studying to become a health and nutrition coach. If I can do for one person what Anna has done for me, I will be a very happy and contented lady.
Anna is an incredible mumma to her 2 munchkins- Amazing Alex, almost 4, and Happy Hamish, almost 2 and wants them to be as happy and healthy as they can be. She is a beautiful friend and a truly inspirational and life-changing health coach.
