Last Saturday night, 150 North Shore Mums gathered at Event Cinemas Hornsby for a special screening of the hilarious ‘A Bad Moms Christmas’. The pelvic floor muscles were given a big workout, with the whole audience in frequent fits of giggles throughout the movie.
The event was organised by NSM Smiles2U, to help raise funds for their care packages for local families who unexpectedly find themselves at the Emergency department with a sick or injured child.
The ladies enjoyed a few pre-movie drinks in the private event room, as well as a free candy bar and goodie bags bursting with free product and special offers. Laser Lounge Wahroonga also provided a bit of fun, with their Spin’n’Win, giving away heavily discounted treatments (and some freebies!) to those who spun the wheel.
The night was a huge success, with over $11,000 raised through an online auction, sponsorship donations and ticket sales.
Event Organiser, Michelle Key, says: ‘A staggering $11,645 has been raised for Smiles2U to continue supporting the five local hospitals. We can now look at implementing some new ideas in the next 6-12 months! Thank you so much for having the faith and trust in us to continue to provide these much needed care packs and smiles bags to the hospitals. We know that they’re making a hospital experience far less daunting and scary for the kids.’
