North Shore Mums offers a premium advertising opportunity for a business to sponsor an interactive competition – where we ask our readers to share a personal experience, photos or a story about a relevant issue. The best entries are then featured as editorial content in the future, with your brand featured alongside all promotion. 


Premium Package

This package will be heavily promoted over a 4-6 week period, with winner articles remaining on our website indefinitely.

Part 1: Call for entries

  • Article on northshoremums.com.au introducing the competition, exciting readers to enter and gives the sponsor space to showcase their business. This page would be live for a minimum of 2-3 weeks to ensure it gets strong visibility across our platform and high entry levels. ($1200)
  • Solus e-newsletter sent to 12,000 subscribers to launch the campaign, featuring sponsor banner and key messages ($1800)
  • 2-week MREC Banner ad run promoting competition ($350)
  • Two Premium Social Media Packages to remind readers to enter. Each package includes post on weekly newsletter, Facebook page post (3000 reach) and 24-hour pinned post in Facebook group. ($658)
  • Two Instagram posts and two Instagram stories (each with 4 x 15-sec clips) ($800)
  • Dedicated advertorial article for sponsor, to showcase your business and what it offers North Shore Mums. Promoted on e-newsletter, Facebook page & Facebook group ($1500).

Part 2: Voting

  • Article on northshoremums.com.au featuring shortlist & encouraging readers to vote for their favourite. ($1200)
  • Two Premium Social Media Packages to remind readers to enter. Each package includes post on weekly newsletter, Facebook page post (3000 reach) and 24-hour pinned post in Facebook group. ($658)

Part 3: Winner announcement

  • Article announcing the winner(s), with section for sponsor to highlight the prize or affiliation. ($1200)
  • Winners announced via Premium Social Media Package, with post on weekly newsletter, Facebook page post (3000 reach) and 24-hour pinned post in Facebook group. ($329)

First Day of School

For the last five years, North Shore Mums has run a ‘First Day of School’ promotion – where we create a series of free posters for parents to download, print and use for that special first day of childcare, preschool or school. We all want to know what motherhood REALLY looks like, and we know that mums love to share images of their personal experience, so we created a competition asking mums to share an image that sums up life as a mum. Ideas for Interactive Competitions

Father’s Day

Ask readers to submit their favourite Dad Joke to win! At the end of the campaign, we will create an article full of the dad jokes that make families on the North Shore giggle, ensuring that the article featuring your branding is read, kept, searched for and referred to over and again!

Valentine’s Day

Celebrate Valentine’s Day or encourage readers to buy gifts for their loved ones “just because” by asking readers to nominate a song that reminds them of someone they love. We can add a special reason for readers to come back to the winners article by compiling the songs into a Spotify playlist making it easy to choose the background music to any special day.

Best Friends

Being a mum is hard and we couldn’t get through it without our friends! Why not ask readers to share a story about something special that a friend has done for them? Best of all, the article we create that shares the stories will act as a brilliant resource full of ideas on how to say thank you when you need it.

Community

We all know that our world wouldn’t keep revolving without the tireless hours that everyday people in our circle put into community projects. Our mums love to give recognition to the people that run our school canteens and band programs, run the local sporting clubs and devote time to charities helping those that need it. Your Interactive Campaign can ask for mums to nominate a local mum who deserves recognition for their work showing how much you care for the local community and the contributions it makes to the families.
