DESCRIPTION

Event Description

Cook, learn and eat together at ‘Rebalance Macrobiotics 101’ on 23 August 11am-4pm.
Macrobiotics is a philosophy to understand the energetic property of all foods and what is appropriate to your current circumstances. Where you are in the world, what season it is, using Yin & Yang and the 5 Elements, applying Food Energetics, and what are your particular health needs are all considered in the design and preparation of a meal.
It doesn’t require learning, more like remembering or stopping long enough to notice. Not a diet but a means to understand and utilise fabulous ingredients to make delectable, traditional, wholesome, balancing & nourishing foods for the whole family.
Spend a day with pioneering chef Holly Davis (co-founder of Iku Wholefoods, author of Ferment cookbook) and Kimberly Ashton (Yin Yoga teacher, macrobiotic cook, author of Chinese Superfoods cookbook).
