Lindner Quality Socks is a small family owned and operated sock manufacturing business in the regional NSW town of Crookwell. We make socks in a wide range of styles, colours, and yarn types, with a focus on sourcing local merino and alpaca fibres grown on the Southern Tablelands. Each pair is knitted with care on our lovingly-maintained vintage sock knitting machines, and hand-finished here in our factory, ensuring that only the best quality socks are provided to our customers online, through our retail stockists, and in our Crookwell shop.
Andrew Lindner’s family have been sock-makers by trade for ten generations, originating from an area in Saxony, Germany known for its hosiery industry from 1730. So you might say it is in the DNA. He learned the craft as a young boy from his father, and has been perfecting his skills ever since.
Established in Australia in 1987, Lindner Quality Socks has been furnishing the feet of local tradies and farmers for decades, and over time the range of products has expanded to include styles for all walks of life in our Heritage, Tablelands, and Luxury Collections. Lindner Socks have gained a reputation for unmatched comfort and longevity; there is something about the carefully selected natural yarns and the old-fashioned techniques of sock-knitting that produces something special that can’t be found elsewhere.
These premium products are stocked in a selection of boutiques and gift shops throughout rural NSW. Our loyal following in the country regions come back time and time again to re-stock for themselves, or to find a thoughtful and useful gift for someone else.
