Hi, I’m Penelope Prior, a Sydney lifestyle photographer. I photograph families, maternity, portraits, and pets. I work in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Mosman, Cremorne, Neutral Bay, as well as other secret spots in Sydney.
Originally from the States (Chicago), I now live in Sydney’s Northern suburbs with my husband. I met him years ago on my first solo backpacking trip here in Australia. A friend connected us on facebook, she thought he might be a good person to know while traveling by myself. And she was right :).
We were set to move to Chicago, then 2020 happened and our life plans took a 180 turn. Now we call Sydney home. And I am not mad about it! With the new life here, came an opportunity for me to throw myself into photography. Back in the states, I was just doing photography for fun in between my day job. Now I’m completely in love with capturing moments for families! The everyday moments are the times we remember. We don’t need to wait for a ‘special occasion’. Let’s Chat!
Penelope took some amazing photos of me and my son. Im not really into the traditional professional baby photos, but when she suggested the photos be taken at the beach I was all in! I love how Penelope uses the environment to pick a truely stunning backdrop which just gives the photos the wow factor. The shoot was so relaxing and she captured some magical photos of me and my son. Thank you so much Penelope xx
We had so much fun at our little family shoot with Penelope! My husband and I aren’t the most photogenic people at all but we really felt at ease during our time with Penelope. Our 8 month old does not sit still and he is super challenging to hold but the images we got back were so incredible, you couldn’t tell that he was more interested the things going on around him at all. Penelope has such a great eye and was able to entertain our little one to grab his focus. She was super professional – we had to reschedule our shoot many times due to poor weather and she was always accomodating. We LOVE our photos (even the candid ones with my husband and I in them) and we very proud to share them with friends and family.
We can’t wait to do it again!
Oh my goodness! Penelope was amazing! My daughter is having separation issues at the moment and was super sad on the day of our shoot. However Penelope managed to get the most incredible photos of her ? im so grateful. She was so professional and so good with my daughter and her needs that day. Cannot recommend her enough. She also seems to know the best trees to shoot under! Thanks again penelope for making the most beautiful photos out of a tough situation ♡
