Stress, anxiety and low mood often manifests itself in gut issues, such as pain, diarrhoea and nausea. Jess has extensive training and experience in the treatment of disorders of the brain-gut interaction and is passionate about assisting both children and adults living with gastrointestinal concerns. She utilises cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and gut-directed hypnotherapy, as these therapies have been found to reduce symptoms and the psychological distress associated with gut complaints, whilst improving quality of life. Gut concerns treated include; recurrent abdominal pain, encopresis, IBS, functional dyspepsia, weight concerns and inflammatory bowel disease.

Jess holds the power of the therapeutic relationship in high regard and collaborates closely with clients and clinicians, including GPs, paediatric and adult gastroenterologist, bariatric surgeons, and dietitians.
