Dr Carol Newall is a clinical psychologist in Gordon.
She has a knack for working with children under 12 years and she has a warm, compassionate, and playful approach to therapy. She has established expertise in helping children and adults develop resilience, confidence, and better wellbeing in a long-term. She works in the area of anxiety (especially children but also adults), stress, depression, OCD and behavioural management/parent training.
Carol focuses on individual strength when confronting challenging decisions and empowers her child and adult clients with the expertise to maintain healthy thinking habits, practical life skills, and the know-how to manage difficult moments and situations.
She completed her PhD in behavioural neuroscience (UNSW) and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Centre for Emotional Health (Macquarie University). She has published research studies in anxiety disorders, depression, and parenting and has presented at international scientific conferences.
