Welcome to TurraTots Early Learning. We are an Uniting Early Learning not for profit early childhood service.
We provide quality early childhood education for care for children aged 0-6 years of age. Our opening hours are: 8.00am – 4:00pm, 48 weeks per year. Eligible families can claim Child Care Subsidy (CCS). We close for four weeks over the Christmas and New Year Period.
Our children are divided into two groups with regular educators. Our groups are:
Wallabies (0-3): up to 16 children with four educators.
– Little Wallabies: Young babies and early walkers
– Big Wallabies: Toddlers
Kangaroos (3-5): Up to 20 children with two educators.
Our Kangaroo room has a full-time Early Childhood Teacher supported by a Diploma trained educator.
We also have two support staff each day to assist with lunch breaks and programming time.
Our co-directors both hold a Bachelor of Education/Teaching and have been at Turratots for over six years. All of our educators hold a Diploma or Certificate III in Children’s Services as well as a First Aid Certificate and Asthma & Anaphylaxis training.
Our centre adheres to the National Quality Standards and implements a play-based authentic program based on the Early Years Learning Framework. We strongly believe that young children need time to investigate and explore their world. We support this love for learning by setting up environments that are thoughtful, intentional and beautiful.
We also pride ourselves on supporting ‘Culturally and Linguistic Diverse’ families. Several of our educators speak more than one language including Japanese, Mandarin and Iranian.
Tours are available Tuesday -Friday between 10:00-11:00am. Please call our office on 9988 3383 to book a tour. We would love to show you around our warm and home-like early learning service!
