This photo of my kids and me was taken last August. At the time, I had no idea a small tumour was quietly growing in my breast.
ㅤ
Two months later, during a random self-check, I found a lump. And just one month after that, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
ㅤ
Fast forward to today. I've had a lumpectomy & axillary clearance, and have had 13/16 cycles of chemotherapy. I've lost all my hair. I'm now mentally preparing for the next stage of radiotherapy.

As we approach Mother's Day, I want to leave you with three reminders from the heart:

🌸 If you're over 40, give yourself the gift of a free mammogram through @breastscreennsw . Early detection saves lives.
📸 Get in the photos with your kids. Don’t always stay behind the camera. The pictures don’t need to be perfect—they just need to have you in them.
🤗 Hug your kids a little tighter. Mother’s Day can bring a mix of emotions (and expectations!). Take a moment to soak in what matters most.

We took a trip there recently with 2 adults and 6 kids (ages ranging from 9-15), and honestly – it was a hit with EVERYONE. 🎮

The Heroes Booths at The Tavern? Total highlight. 🏆 The kids were glued to their screens, battling it out, and let's just say... we might’ve had a bit of fun too 😉. The fun didn’t stop there - we also hit up the Arcade, the PC Lounge, and even managed to grab a delicious bite at The Tavern between the action! 🍔.
They also have some board games and other relaxing ways for mums to chill out while the kids did their thing. 🧩

A little slice of sisterhood & serenity 💕🌿
 Last weekend, I enjoyed the most amazing girls’ weekend in the Hunter Valley with my beautiful sister—and I’m still floating from the peace, pampering, and laughs.

We stayed at the dreamy @vocokirktonparkhv in a luxurious suite with two cloud-like queen beds and views that stretched across the countryside. Bliss!

High tea in the Conservatory? Divine. Think: savoury bites, sweet treats (hello, macarons & scones with jam and cream), and all the elegance of a Jane Austen novel with modern perks.

Then came the indulgence: an in-room massage from @heavenlyhuntermassage —a mobile service that genuinely lives up to its name. I experienced the incredible Kahuna Massage, while my sister went for the Heartworks Lomi Lomi. We felt like we were floating by the end!

We followed it up with a dip in the Grecian-style indoor pool and spa at the resort, because why not top off total bliss with a bit more luxury?

Dinner was laid-back perfection. We shared wood-fired pizza and fresh salad at the more casual of the two on-site restaurants (yes, you don’t even have to leave the hotel for a delicious meal!).

We ended the day just as it began: together, cozy, and content, watching a movie in our suites. The beds are so comfortable, and we both had the best night’s sleep! 💤

And here’s the real magic: not a single hangover in sight. I’m currently undergoing treatment for breast cancer, so no wine for me at the moment (or maybe ever?!).

I was a little unsure how a weekend in the Hunter would feel without winery visits or wine tastings—but it turns out, it’s absolutely possible. And maybe even better. I left feeling refreshed, recharged, and totally fabulous after just one night away. 💖

If you’re wondering whether you can do the Hunter without the vino—the answer is a big, joy-filled yes. 💫
